    In 1987, Ashworth College started as a one-course college in real estate valuation. The course gained popularity and demand for a fine quality career-focused, distance education arose, hence, the Professional Career Development Institute (PCDI) was started.

    In 2000, Online Associate Degree Programs were added to Ashworth College academia. Master’s Degree Program and Bachelor’s Degree Program were, respectively, added in 2000 and 2004. Ashworth College has over 300,000 alumni across the United States and the World. The college has over 2,000 graduates have been inducted into Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society.     The Accreditation for Ashworth College is by Distance Education Accreditation Commission (DEAC). The U.S. Department of Education recognizes the accrediting by Distance Education Accreditation Commission. Ashworth College encompasses accredited programs for online degrees, certificates, and career-focused diplomas.

    The Accreditation for each institute is different, so students looking to transfer to another institute must ensure that the transferring Institute recognizes the DEAC accreditation. For instance, the accreditation by Distance Education Accreditation Commission is accepted by Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).     Certificate Programs: For enrollment into Ashworth’s Undergraduate Certificate Programs the candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • A completed high school diploma or a GED with officials transcripts.
    • Homeschooled students need to provide a portfolio of their homeschooling projects, monthly logs, resources used, the progress made etc.
    • The duration of each Undergraduate Program is one semester.
    • Students can begin their lessons as they receive the course materials.
    • Ashworth has to receive the official transcripts from the applicant to maintain their student status.

    Associate Degree: For enrollment into Ashworth's Associate Degree Program the candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • A completed high school diploma or a GED with officials transcripts.
    • Homeschooled students need to provide a portfolio of their homeschooling projects, monthly logs, resources used, the progress made etc.
    • Associate Degree Candidates will enroll in a pay & enroll per semester basis where they pay for a semester and enroll with a separate enrollment agreement.
    • Students can begin their lessons as they receive the course materials.
    • Ashworth has to receive the official transcripts from the applicant to maintain their student status.

    Bachelor’s Degree: For enrollment into Ashworth's Bachelor Degree Program the candidates must meet the following requirements:

    Admission Requirements for Graduate

    Graduate Certificate Programs: For enrollment into Ashworth's Graduate Certificate Program the candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Students must have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA with official transcripts from any accredited college or university.
    • GRE or GMAT test scores are not required.
    • The duration of the graduate certificate program is one semester.
    • Students can access an Orientation and first lessons right after enrollment is processed.
    • In order to maintain the student status, students have to gain a passing grade in their course and their official transcripts must be approved.

    Master’s Degree: For enrollment into Ashworth's Master’s Degree Program  the candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Students must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA with official transcripts from a recognized accredited college or university.
    • GRE or GMAT test scores are not required.
    • Master Degree Candidates will enroll in a pay & enroll per semester basis where they pay for a semester and enroll with a separate enrollment agreement.
    • Students can access an Orientation and first lessons right after enrollment is processed.
    • In order to maintain the student status, students have to gain a passing grade in their course and their official transcripts must be approved.

    Students who don’t meet a minimum 2.5 GPA can enroll, conditionally. The student has to complete the first nine credit hours of the coursework with a grade “B” or higher. Then, conditional enrollment is considered as fully admitted enrollment. In case the students fail to meet the conditional requirements will be rejected for a full enrollment. All program students must have access to a computer with Internet access, a working Email address, MS-Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software.


    Application Process

    To enroll into Ashworth College Programs, follow these steps:

    • Fill out the application via Online or Phone.
      • Apply online: Visit http://www.ashworthcollege.edu. In the online application, Applicants can fill out the information regarding the program level, program type, and discipline area.
      • Apply via phone: Call 1-800-957-5412 to contact an enrollment advisor.
    • Within 24 hours of complete enrollment, Ashworth will provide you online access to the first course, course materials; eBooks. Physical textbooks will be shipped to the student’s registered address.
    • Students eligible for military benefits have a specific military advisor, can be contacted at 1-877-752-7630.

    Enrollment Agreement

    Enrollment Agreement is a legal agreement between the Student and Ashworth College. It is under the Georgia Law. Upon this agreement, it is understood that the student has read and agrees to the terms of the Enrollment Agreement. The Agreement can be signed using an electronic signature. Students looking to enroll with Ashworth should read the catalog and materials before enrolling. Students must enroll each semester with a separate new enrollment agreement. The tuition mentioned in the Enrollment Agreement is for one semester only. If Ashworth doesn’t receive a Signed Enrollment Agreement, shipment of course materials will be canceled.

    Student Status

    The Student status, depending on each student’s progression, can be the following:

    • Applicant Status: A student who has submitted their enrollment agreement and financially current with Ashworth College; their candidature can be denied after reviewing their enrollment will hold the Applicant Status.
    • Enrolled but not Active: A student admitted to one of Ashworth’s program, has completed two courses and the transcript evaluation holds the Enrolled but Not Active Status.
    • Active Student: An enrolled student who is submitting course assessments will hold the Active Student.

    Transcripts

    Ashworth College's undergraduate certificate programs, associate degree, and bachelor’s degree program requires a high school diploma or a GED certificate from a recognized accredited organization.

    • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized accreditation organization is required for Ashworth’s graduate certificate and master’s degree programs.
    • International bachelor’s degrees that are considered as an equivalent of the bachelor’s degree in the United States is also accepted.
    • TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT test scores are not required.
    • Students must submit their transcripts before the completion of 9 credit hours or 3 courses. If the transcripts are not received by Ashworth, then the student’s account is on a Hold Status.
    • Students must fill out the correct Transcript Request Form and send it to their college, high school, or GED certificate provides. The Transcript Request Forms are available on the student portal.
    • International Transcripts must be evaluated by evaluation services; World Education Services (WES). They will gauge the U.S equivalency. Contact WES at 800-937-3895 or http://wes.org. WES charges a fee for these services

    Homeschooled Students

    Homeschooled Students will not possess the conventional transcripts, such students can submit a Homeschool Portfolio, based on their work, with a Homeschool Form. A $50 fee is charged for the evaluation of portfolios. A Homeschool Portfolio must include the following:

    • Photocopy of the cover page of the textbook or software used for each course.
    • Photocopy of the table contents of each course for the curriculum.
    • Three representative samples of work per course. A sample of work from the beginning, middle, and end of the course.
    • No credit will be given without the sample of work.
    • A sample of work can be written essays, laboratory reports, research projects, solved math problems, etc.
    • Standardized test results; SAT or IOWA Basic Skills Test.
    • Also send the Homeschool Registration,  Attendance forms, credentials of the teacher, current testing or evaluation results.

    International Students: Applicants with Native Language Other than English and who have not earned a degree from a recognized Institute where English is the language of medium must prove their level of proficiency in English

    • Undergraduate: A minimum score of 500 in TOEFL PBT, or 61in iBT, or a 6.0 in IELTS, or 44 on the PTE** Academic Score Report; or a transcript indicating 30 semester hours of credit with an average grade”C” or higher at a recognized college or university.
    • Graduate: A minimum score of 530 in TOEFL PBT, or 71 on iBT or 6.5 on IELTS, or 50 on the PTE Academic Score Report a transcript indicating 30 semester hours of credit with an average grade ”B” or higher at a recognized college or university.
    • Undergraduate only: A high school diploma from an accredited/recognized high school where the medium of instruction is English.

    Students are nominated for Scholarship and Awards by faculty, academic advisors, and student services team members, and then elected by the Ashworth academic staff. Students taking part in the degree and certificate programs have the option to earn the following Scholarships and Awards:

    The Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship

    The Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship was introduced in 2012 in recognition of Ashworth’s former president and CEO’s dedication and contribution to Ashworth College. ACCESS is an acronym for Ashworth College Continuing Education for Student education which is a reflection of Gary Keisling’s personal and professional mission. The ACCESS Scholarship Program offers  22 scholarships each year to new high school, undergraduate associates and bachelor’s degree and career students. All candidates must submit an application and a 250-500 word essay. Applicants can also submit transcripts for a 3.0 GPA or equivalent. ACCESS scholarship is available each fall. Ashworth will announce when new applications can be submitted to consider for the Scholarship.

    DEAC Student of the Year Award

    The DEAC Student of the Year Award is awarded by Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) on a yearly basis to students excelling in academia and have excellent performance, overcome barriers in academic and interpersonal interactions with staff, faculty, and peers.

    Delta Epsilon Tau International Honor Society

    Delta Epsilon Tau International Honor Society is awarded to graduating Ashworth College students who have a 3.5 or higher GPA in their associate or bachelor’s degree. Delta Epsilon Tau International Honor Society was instituted by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) to encourage and acknowledge the achievements of students who have worked hard to acquire their degree and skills.
